As part of our Fund a Farm campaign, Winslow Farm is teaming up with Farms for Food Equity for a community event at their Farm Stand in Falmouth, ME!
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, Farms for Food Equity purchased $9,440 worth of surplus produce from Winslow Farm—helping rescue and distribute nearly 9,000 pounds of fresh, locally grown food to Maine neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
This year, we're hoping to make an even bigger impact. Every donation helps Farms for Food Equity purchase surplus produce directly from Winslow Farm, providing reliable income for our farm while ensuring fresh, nutritious food reaches local families who need it most.
It's a simple idea with a powerful impact: support local agriculture while helping feed our communities.

HOST A FRESH FOOD DRIVE
Farms for Food Equity’s Fresh Food Fundraisers are a fresh twist on the classic canned food drive—literally.
Instead of collecting shelf-stable goods, your school, business, or community group can raise funds that FFE uses to buy fresh, local vegetables directly from Maine farms, delivering them straight to families in need.
This approach not only puts healthier, more nutritious food on tables, but also supports local farmers and keeps our food system strong.
With just $10 providing 20 pounds of potatoes or $50 supplying 75 pounds of squash, your fundraiser can make a big, immediate impact—feeding neighbors and strengthening farms at the same time.

Choose local whenever you can. Shop at farmers markets and co-ops, subscribe to a CSA, and look for local labels in stores. Encourage schools, hospitals, and businesses to source food from nearby farms.
💚 Support Local Food Movement
Give to nonprofits like FFE that buy from small farms and deliver fresh food to those who need it most. Invest in food hubs and organizations that connect farmers to schools, restaurants, and food pantries.
📣 Advocate for Change
Support policies that fund small farms, protect farmland, and improve food access. Speak up for zoning, land access, and public procurement programs that prioritize local food.
